City Strings and Lines was a body of work that explored the fragility of made-made structures. Using embroidery floss, I created the understructure of the paintings -- the perspective lines and building foundation. The map-pins held the strings in place and symbolized the idea of "places I've been" -- a visitor to a space, not a resident.
